Renato Ferreira, born in São Paulo, Brazil.
- Composer, improviser, double bass player, tenor sax player.
Graduated at Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (2007-2011).
Involved with different kinds of music and art, with interchange of disciplines and people. Started to play free improvisation music in 2004, with the brazilian collective Abaetetuba. In Europe Already played with John Edwards, Steve Noble, Dominique Lash, Marcio Mattos, Anne La Berge, Nora Mulder, Wilbert De Joode, Han Bennink, Ab Baars, Michael Vatcher, Michael Moore, Joost Buis, Oscar Jan Hoogland, John Dijkman, Yedo Gibson, Raoul Van Der Weide, Wim Janssen, Eric Boeren, Marie Guilleray, Alan “Gunga” Purves, Alfredo Genovesi, Hans Houtman etc.
Currently living and working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
